About Greg

I have been working as a substance abuse counselor since 1993, and have been clean and sober since 1988. I worked as a professional drummer for much for my adulthood and still enjoy musical projects with friends in the Detroit area. I am a student of the Yang Long form of Tai Chi and of the Usui System of Reiki Healing. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oakland Community College's Mental Health and Social Work program (Associates in Applied Science), a Registered Social Service Tecnician, and a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-R). I am the assistant Program Director at Recovery Consultants Incorporated, in Berkley and Waterford, Michigan.

Although playing music was my 'first love', I felt there were a few "unsung songs" in my heart and mind. These kept recurring in the form of questions, such as:

1) Can I learn to enjoy life without using, drinking?

2) What makes you and I tick?, and, what really makes us happy and unhappy?

3) Who are we and why are we here?

4) Who were the great teachers throughout history regarding these issues?

5) What can I do with my life to creatively share all this stuff with others?
